A well-traveled bedroom

Jordyn and I met to talk about redecorating her bedroom over chai lattés. She wanted to fill her space with wanderlust vibes and was hitting a creative dead end. We chatted about her favorite Parisian bookstores, impromptu flamenco performances in Seville, and her constant hunt for the best vintage clothing.

Three weeks later...Voila! The perfect blend of world-traveler meets antique whimsy.

Mix & match

Jordyn is a woman of many layers. She's a Francophile, a violinist, a cabaret singer, and was captain of an Indian dance team. Seriously. She does it all. So, I thought the best way to reflect that in her space would be by layering up prints - and lots of 'em! Placing floral patterns beside geometric prints is a great way to pack a punch. Just be sure to keep everything in the same color family so the look is cohesive.

Souvenirs

Being a world traveler means that Jordyn has quite the collection of adorably kitschy mementos from all over the world. But, we chose a curated collection to feature her favorite trinkets to keep a balance between showcasing design and personality.

Personalité

A bedroom is meant to feel dreamy and lived-in. So, to really soften the space I included vintage elements like this consigned mirror and 1960's style clocks. This quilt, a graduation present from her great aunt is a homey addition.
